The client is a retailer which encompasses many well-known brands. A global powerhouse operating from Asia to Europe and the US, that regularly acquires new companies and integrates them into their ecosystem.
The major retailer was embarking on a journey to transform their delivery framework to increase agility in their ways of working. They wanted to increase the predictability and quality of their deliverables but were unsure how to approach the balance between a hybrid agile/waterfall delivery approach. They experienced challenges with retention of staff within their delivery teams, access to clear visibility on what stage of the lifecycle their projects were in, and which areas required critical focus and attention.
Sisua deployed a team to both lead the delivery function, reporting into the CIO, and to improve and drive PMO best practice. Sisua reviewed existing processes and provided recommendations on maturity areas across short, medium, and long term objectives, and quickly started to transition ways of working. Sisua implemented a PMO to work alongside the delivery team to enable timely and data-driven decision making. They achieved this through designing and implementing IT delivery governance, as well as implementing out of the box software to capture and drive critical portfolio and programme data. Combining this with process creation and improvement, Sisua drove more efficient prioritisation methods which decreased duration from ideation to deployment.
